Day 6 of the Book Blogging Challenge prompts us to tell you how we shop for books and in all honesty, there isn’t a method. Â
Half Price Books
We probably make a stop here every other week to browse the titles and see what gems have been put out. Typically we are looking for those books that we either need to complete a series or we are just wandering to see if there is anything that we have wanted to read but haven’t found priced reasonably. Â Every once in a while we luck out and find an occasional ARC of something we have been wanting to read but it doesn’t happen very often.
Barnes & Noble
I have to admit, I really try to only buy from B&N when I get a coupon. Â Which is why it is so hard for me to not use one when they send it to me. Also – we tend to buy online from them more often as the books tend to be cheaper online vs. if you walk into the store. Â It really doesn’t make sense to me but regardless, since we are members, we get great deals on shipping and don’t have to wait forever for our books to make it into our little hands.
Others
There are a number of other online sites we search when we are looking for something specific. Â BookCloseOuts.com and ABEbooks are great if you have time to hunt down what you are looking for. Â Sometimes Book Close Outs is not the easiest to find what you are looking for but if you are willing to invest the time, you can find some GREAT deals!
So there you have it…just a few of the ways we shop for books. Â Tell us in the comments – what do you do and do you have any secrets? Â Seriously, we want to know!
