Once again we were lucky enough to be invited to an amazing luncheon hosted by Liza of WhoRUBlog and Heidi of YA Bibliophile.
If you’re not familiar with the novel cuisine luncheon, Heidi and Liza comb through the books they’ve read throughout the year and find food and recipes to help feature young adult novels!
This year, the girls featured the following books and recipes!Â
I Was Here by Gayle Forman – Vegetarian EnchiladasÂ
A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray – Tea
Wild by Sophie Jordan – Funnel CakeÂ
My True Love Gave To Me – Assorted Authors
Baked Mac & Cheese – Kiersten White
Apple Cider – Stephanie Perkins
Ensalada Navidad – Kiersten White
Brie Cheese – Holly Black
The Strange & Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton – Bread
Compulsion by Martina Boone – Whoopie Pie CakeÂ
Open Road Summer by Emery Lord – Funnel Cake
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart – Tomato Basil Salad
Behind the Scenes by Dahlia Adler – GuacamoleÂ
The Queen of Bright & Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre – Vegetable Soup & Chai Latte
Love, Lucy by April Lindner  – Bread & Havarti Cheese
We always have so much fun at this event. Â It’s very casual and gives us the opportunity to get to know local bloggers, librarians and authors just a bit more! Plus, Liza gives us an excuse to clean off our bookshelves for a good cause! This year, we donated books to the Milwaukee Hmong American Peace Academy and I’m pretty sure Liza said at last count it was over 120 books! Â That’s pretty good for our small group!Â
As always, big thanks to Liza and Heidi for organizing and inviting us! We look forward to this all year… ALSO – thank you for the amazing ARCs and swag we picked up!Â
We have an awesome giveaway for a couple of lucky followers!Â
