Hey everyone! Â Some of you might know that we were off in Naperville/Lisle, Illinois a couple of weekends ago for a super fun writing/author event weekend! Â We are frequent visitors to Anderson’s and we attended this event last year and such an amazing time that we absolutely knew we were going to go again this year. Â If you’re not familiar with the event, make sure you head HERE for all the details!
Once again, Anderson’s brought in some amazing keynote speakers!
It was so fun to hear what each and every one of these amazing authors had to share with us but I can’t lie, Marie Lu is seriously one of my all-time favorite authors, and to get the chance to meet her and hear her speak it was amazing!
But these few authors weren’t the only ones in attendance! NO – there were a ridiculous amount of authors that had me doing my internal flailing and praying that I wouldn’t embarrass myself. Two Words – Huntley Fitzpatrick.
Here’s the full list of authors that were in attendance (except Jennifer Niven, she couldn’t make it, and it made me crazy sad- she was definitely missed!)
So now that you know who was there, these are the panels that were happening on Saturday
We actually had to attend the Contemporary panel first because the panel of authors was perfection!
Nicola Yoon, David Arnold, Emma Mills, Huntley Fitzpatrick & Jackie Lea Sommers
Then we did a lot of wandering around and chatting and catching up with people – I know, I know… we suck, but we also had a great time in the lobby talking so whatever LOL
After day one, Erin and I did some wandering around Lisle and Naperville, and by wandering I mean that we went to places that are required stops when you’re in the area!

So… unfortunately this is basically where my part of the weekend wrap up ends because I got violently ill late Saturday night and the only thing I did on Sunday was this…
Yeah, I was prepared to spend the day hanging with Adam… apparently my gallbladder had other plans. Â ERIN though stayed and had a super amazing time hanging with authors and doing some of the following things…
I believe that the team she was on took second place in the trivia contest so yay for that!
Anyway, I can’t tell you much about Sunday – for me, it was spent in a haze of pain and tears but I did get ALL THESE SIGNED BOOKS out of the trip PLUS even though I am not in the picture, I did get to meet Huntley Fitzpatrick in person and she’s super lovely and it was such a blast to get to meet all these authors!

HUGE Thank you to Anderson’s Bookshop for bringing this event to us each year! Â It just gets more and more amazing and I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings!
If you’re in the area make sure you stop in the store – TONS of amazing author events and signed books and just a wonderful store to spend an hour or two perusing in make them an all-time fave book store.
If you have the opportunity I can’t stress enough how much you should consider attending this event in the future!
