We love Kimberly Derting and so excited that we’ll get to see her again at Apollycon 2017! We have a quick fast five interview to share with you, but first we want to tell you about some of her books that we have loved!
A flash of white light . . . and then . . . nothing.
When sixteen-year-old Kyra Agnew wakes up behind a Dumpster at the Gas ’n’ Sip, she has no memory of how she got there. With a terrible headache and a major case of déjà vu, she heads home only to discover that five years have passed . . . yet she hasn’t aged a day.

Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her “power” to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes that the dead leave behind in the world… and the imprints that attach to their killers.
Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find the dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he’s claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.
Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet on her quest to find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved to find herself hoping that Jay’s intentions are much more than friendly. But even as Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer.. she might become his next prey.

Since I can’t say EVERYTHING, which is really my answer, I’ll stick with the other authors. I’m going to be fangirling my way from one booth to the next. I might even cry. Do you think it’s weird if I cry???

On the couch, surrounded by my family, some takeout, and with Netflix all queued up. Seriously, I’m the world’s biggest homebody.

The toilet emoji. In our house, it’s sort of like “aloha,” it has so many meanings. As the universal emoji, it can be used for hello, goodbye, I love you, or even happy birthday. If I send you the toilet emoji, don’t be freaked out—it means I’ve taken you into my inner circle.

Probably myself…because that’s the way I roll.
