Just a reminder that the #BFFTour is happening the first couple weeks of October!! What will you find on this tour? All kinds of blog love where we get the chance to talk about the friendships we’ve made, the blogs we love, and the fun amazing people behind the scenes!
Most blogs will have a giveaway associated with their posts so make sure you go check them all out. Â PLUS we have a tour wide giveaway happening where you could win BOOK MONEY!! Well – Giftcards to your favorite retailers (Amazon/B&N etc)
Today we at Fiction Fare get to participate in the #BFFTour and of course…we had to do an interview with our blog besties Meg & Kassiah over at SwoonyBoys Podcast. Â To no one’s surprise I’m sure, we have Twilight and Edward Cullen to thank for bringing us all together! Check out what our pretty friends have to say about books, boys, and BFF’s!
Do you remember how we became blog BFF’s? Can you tell everyone how it happened?
Meg: We can all thank Edward Cullen for that. Kass introduced me to you guys, and she knew you because of Fanfiction. We skype chatted after she told me you wanted to join us in NYC for BEA and after our first week of awesomeness the rest has been history. I can’t imagine my life without you guys. Don’t ever leave me, because let’s be serious. As if you could outrun me.
Kassiah: It’s true. I don’t remember how I met Jaime exactly. Just that she was everywhere. This friendship was inevitable. Â Even if she’s not sure we’ll still be friends in two years.
Meg: Hahaha. You’ll never let her live that down. We be old ladies and you’ll still bring it up. Well, some of us will be old ladies.
We know how SwoonyBoys came about but tell everyone else how you both found each other!
Meg: Again we have Twilight and Edward Cullen to thank. Kass had this amazing Fanfiction review site and I was a fanfiction writer who craved her approval. One day she tweeted out that she needed some help with blog stuff. I answered the tweet. We skyped that night and to talk about what she needed and have talked every day since then. It’s been almost 7 years now and she still completes me.
Kassiah: OMG SEVEN YEARS?!? Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me, Meg. ♥
Meg: ♡
Tell us a little about what readers can find on SwoonyBoys!
They will find lots of boy talk. Lots of book talk with more boy talk. They’ll see- podcasts, reviews, dreamcasting (my fav!), interviews, character profiles, and lots of swooning.
They will find the best graphics ever thanks to Kass and hopefully they will leave laughing at our ridiculousness, smiling because they agree with our swooning, or maybe even a little bit of both!
Kass describe Meg in 3 words and Meg describe Kass in 3 words!
Meg: Oh! This is fun. I would have to say- pretty, creative, and always-there-for-me-no-matter-what.
Kassiah: supportive, bossy (haha), and Practically-perfect-in-every-way
If you had to get rid of all your books except one, what would it be?
Meg: WHAT?!? Why would you ask such a cruel question. I need a minute.
Kassiah: Is there a Harry Potter omnibus?
Meg: Fine. If I have to answer, then I guess… Anne of Green Gables. No, my signed copy of Divergent. No, the signed copy of Red Rising. Nevermind. I can’t do this. Pass.
If you could meet one author that you haven’t yet, who would it be and why?
Meg: I’m pretty sure you all know the answer to this question. Do I really even need to say it? How about I give you 3 guesses?
Kassiah: You’ll meet him one day, Meg.  Hmmm… I don’t know who I would choose. Since Meg goes with me to just about everything, I’ll take Pierce Brown, too, so she definitely gets to meet him.
If you could date one fictional character who would it be and why?
Meg: Four. Four. Four.
Kassiah: I don’t know. So many swoony boys, so little time…
Tell us about your favorite author experience you’ve ever had!
Meg: There are so many good ones. The best part is that almost all of them involve us all being together. I would have to say that meeting Veronica Roth for the first time was the best. We got to go to Katherine Tegen’s house and although I was majorly starstruck, it was an amazing night. I’ll never forget it.
Kassiah: I agree, there are so many good ones. I guess I’ll go with meeting Judy Blume. It was kind of surreal to be face-to-face with this person who changed my life from such a young age. She told me to thank my mom for her for instilling a love of reading in me. Â
What is your favorite memory of the time we have been able to spend together?
Meg: I have to pick just one? That seems like an impossible task. I love everything we do together. From podcasts, to blog hops, to just our routine skype chats… but the best thing ever is when we actually get to be together. I love that our trips to NYC for BEA are all about books, food, and trying to capture the perfect group selfie. (Even when you guys try and pretend you hate my selfie stick!)
Kassiah: FTR, I love the selfie stick. Â I can’t pick just one time, either. You tell us your favorite memory of being with us!
If you had to recommend a book to your bff what book would it be and why?
Meg: Ummm. I guess you mean bff’s that aren’t you guys? Because otherwise you already know. The book I have recommended and handed out to the most people is Red Rising by Pierce Brown, but my recs change depending on who I am talking to and what they like, how old they are, etc. I should make a spreadsheet for this…..
Kassiah: Now that you mention it, how the heck do we not already have a spreadsheet for this? Weird. I feel like I recommend Anna and the French Kiss the most. It used to be Divergent, but you know what happened with that. I actually also recommend Red Rising a lot too, which yes, I know is ironic.
