If you know me at all, you know that Kasie West is one of my all-time favorite authors and not that I’m counting down the days or anything, but I’m finally going to get the chance to meet her in 2017! I knew when I was making up my list of authors for this hop that I just had to ask her to participate and she kindly agreed! Â Before I share her post with you though, I want to tell you that Kasie has TWO books coming out in 2017 and you are going to want to pre-order them immediately! Â Here are the details!
Release Date: January 31, 2017
In this irresistible story, Kasie West explores the timeless question of what to do when you fall for the person you least expect. Witty and romantic, this paperback original from a fan favorite is perfect for fans of Stephanie Perkins and Morgan Matson.
When Autumn Collins finds herself accidentally locked in the library for an entire weekend, she doesn’t think things could get any worse. But that’s before she realizes that Dax Miller is locked in with her. Autumn doesn’t know much about Dax except that he’s trouble. Between the rumors about the fight he was in (and that brief stint in juvie that followed it) and his reputation as a loner, he’s not exactly the ideal person to be stuck with. Still, she just keeps reminding herself that it is only a matter of time before Jeff, her almost-boyfriend, realizes he left her in the library and comes to rescue her.
Only he doesn’t come. No one does.
Instead it becomes clear that Autumn is going to have to spend the next couple of days living off vending-machine food and making conversation with a boy who clearly wants nothing to do with her. Except there is more to Dax than meets the eye. As he and Autumn first grudgingly, and then not so grudgingly, open up to each other, Autumn is struck by their surprising connection. But can their feelings for each other survive once the weekend is over and Autumn’s old life, and old love interest, threaten to pull her from Dax’s side?
Maddie doesn’t believe in luck. She’s all about hard work and planning ahead. But one night, on a whim, she buys a lottery ticket. And then, to her astonishment — She wins!
In a flash, Maddie’s life is unrecognizable. No more stressing about college scholarships. Suddenly, she’s talking about renting a yacht. And being in the spotlight at school is fun… until rumors start flying, and random people ask her for loans. Now, Maddie isn’t sure who she can trust.
Except for Seth Nguyen, her funny, charming coworker at the local zoo. Seth doesn’t seem aware of Maddie’s big news. And, for some reason, she doesn’t want to tell him. But what will happen if he learns her secret?
With tons of humor and heart, Kasie West delivers a million-dollar tale of winning, losing, and falling in love.
Fall Bucket List
First of all, Fall is my favorite season. So much so that I named one of my kids Autumn. That’s commitment to a season right there. But I have never thought to create a fall bucket list! So when Jaime suggested this as a topic, I knew I had to do it. Here are all the things I hope to do this fall, starting with some things I’ve already done that you might want to add to your list.
Eat an order of sweet potato fries s’mores style. Done. And they were delicious. Sweet potato fries drizzled with fudge and topped with toasty marshmallows. I didn’t think I’d like them but when you see that on a menu how can you not order it? I loved them!
Catch the first cold of the season. Done. I always have to get that out of the way right out of the gate.
Buy new sweaters. Done. This has become my beginning of the fall tradition. I love sweaters and I love adding to my collection.
Try three new dishes featuring pumpkin. We all know that pumpkin is added to everything this time of year. But I’ll admit I get stuck in my same old rut, so I’m going to try some new pumpkin recipes. And by recipes I mean things that other people have made. I don’t care what time of year it is, I’m not a baker.
Jump in a pile of leaves. I haven’t done this since I was a kid. I think it’s time to give it a whirl again.
Fall leaves nature drive. I always say I want to do this, but never actually do. This year, I’m going to take the kids on a drive up the mountains to see the changing leaves. I better hurry with that or it will be too late (it probably is too late for a lot of you, but I live in California. As I’m writing this, the leaves are mostly still stubbornly green).
Hot cocoa at least 4 times a week. I think I should buy several flavors I haven’t tried before either. There’s just something about putting on warm socks and wrapping up in a fuzzy blanket and drinking hot cocoa. (That’s what I’ll be doing as soon as I finish writing this, I just now decided.)
Watching scary movies. Why is it that in the fall I always get the desire to watch scary movies? I think I need to try some new ones. So if you have scary movie suggestions let’s hear them.
Read ALL THE BOOKS! I like to read in all seasons, but especially this one.
I need more bucket list items. What do you like to do in the Fall?
Thank you so much for sharing your bucket list with us Kasie!! I think I’ll be adding a few of these things to my own bucket list for this fall! I better get moving though!
