Fun with our Blogger Besties – Swoony Boys Podcast!
Alright – I know we have missed this for the last few months but WYAKW is coming back!!
If you don’t know what #WYAKW is…it’s our YA trivia night! We have been having so much fun with it and we hope you will join in!  Whadda Ya Know Wednesday takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month…(ok, sometimes it is the 4th one instead)!  We love interacting with all of you and we love talking books, book boys, and gushing over our favorite authors. We couldn’t think of a better way to do all of that than by combining all of those things, throwing in some awesome prizes, and having a blast while doing it!  We have a new scoring system and if you invite your friends and they play, you have an even better chance of winning so make sure you invite and remind them to join in the fun!  Make sure you’re following @Fictionfare and @Swoonyboys to play along!
EVENTS:Â C2E2
We were excited to get to go to C2E2 this year but we were even more excited when Epic Reads asked us to moderate a panel called Mean Tweets: YA Authors Talk Books and Social Media.  This was such a great opportunity to get to hang out with some of our favorite authors and discuss how Social Media has impacted their experience with publishing.  We were so excited to interview authors Katie Cotugno (FIREWORKS), Jilly Gagnon (#FAMOUS), Heidi Heilig (THE SHIP BEYOND TIME), Kimberly McCreight (THE OUTLIERS), and Danielle Paige (THE END OF OZ).  If you haven’t read their books or added them to your TBR list, go do it now.
We also got to attend a panel on fandoms which was moderated by Heidi over at YA Bibliophile.  It was another  fantastic group of authors we got to meet and have sign our books!
EVENTS:Â LAINI TAYLOR
To say Jaime and I were excited when we found out Laini Taylor was coming to Anderson’s is probably an understatement. Â I can’t even admit how many books we had between us but I’m not even sorry. Â I had only ever met Laini one other time and that was with about 25 other people and I didn’t have any of my books with me! Â So suffice it to say, we had a great time and really get excited when we get the opportunity to meet our favorite authors. Â If you haven’t yet read her new book Strange the Dreamer – go check it out!
