Monthly Wrap Up – September

We have officially hit fall in the weather department and all the books that are coming out this fall have us super excited that time appears to be flying! In case you missed anything from the last month, keep reading!

REAL BOOK CHALLENGE

EVENTS

We had the opportunity to meet some great authors this month and definitely encourage you to check out their books if you haven’t already!

Sarah Maas, Susan Dennard & Erica O’Rourke

You probably already know about how much we love Sarah Maas and Susan Dennard so when we found out they were coming to Anderson’s we immediately made plans to go. On top of that, Erica O’Rourke was joining them on the tour and we loved meeting her. The place was absolutely packed but it was so worth it to get to see these authors and thankfully we were near the front of the lines as we had a 2 hour ride home!

Melissa de la Cruz
Melissa was hosted by Boswell Book Company and visited at the Oak Creek Public Library. Jaime was sick so had to stay home but although I still had a cough, I made it to listen to her speak and had a great time!

Lisa McMann & Margaret Peterson Haddix
We always love it when Lisa McMann comes to Milwaukee. She brought Margaret Peterson Haddix with her this time and we had a wonderful time visiting. It was a school night so we did have to head out quickly but as always, Boswell Book Company did an awesome job!

Rick Yancey
Another event at Anderson’s Bookshops! We roadtripped down to Naperville to meet Rick and get our books signed. He is definitely a great story teller (if you didn’t already have that figured out) and knows how to keep a crowd entertained.

#ABYALITCONF
There were so many authors at this Lit Conference hosted by Anderson’s Bookshops in Naperville that I can’t list them all. Jaime and I spent the weekend hanging out with friends and fangirling a bit over some of our favorite authors. If you ever get the chance, definitely check out this conference.

VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB

If you didn’t know, we have switched to a different format for the readalongs. Instead of a real time readalong, we have moved to a Virtual Book Club. Check out the post here and please consider joining us!
