The man she should want, or the man she craves… Fashion designer Ridley Ethridge thinks she’s found the perfect, stable sort of guy in her childhood friend Will Reaver. With seduction in her sights, she arranges to rock Will’s world at an exclusive club that caters to those with adventurous and erotic appetites. What happens next is both intense and satisfying—until Ridley’s blindfold comes off to reveal Will’s twin brother. The same twin who broke her heart eight years ago. Former soldier Garrett Reaver hasn’t ever gotten Ridley out of his system. And now that she’s before him in all her submissive glory? He’ll be damned before he lets someone else have her, especially his brother. Because Garrett and Ridley have some seriously unfinished business to take care of, and it starts now. And this time, he’ll show Ridley how exquisite a relationship with him could be…if their past doesn’t catch up to them first.

Mistaken by Fate by Katee Robert
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Ridley wants a relationship… and she’s got her sights set on Will Reaver. She thinks he’s the perfect guy for her… his only downfall… he happens to be the twin brother of the guy who broke her heart eight years ago. Garrett Reaver isn’t the settle down kind of guy, and Ridley just screams it. He did what he had to do all those years ago, but he hasn’t been able to forget about her and move on.
When Garrett comes back to town and is determined to show Ridley just what she could have in a relationship with him, she’s determined to ignore him, but it turns out she can’t quite get him out of her system either.
I am a fan of Katee Robert… I really am. I like her writing style and I, for the most part, like her stories. AND three stars isn’t bad, I’m just going to say that up front, because I want you guys to know that while I didn’t love this story, I liked it. It was good… just not as good as some of her other stuff.
I think my problem came in that I didn’t connect with these characters at all through the story and the story itself didn’t really work for me. I didn’t love either Garrett or Ridley and that really breaks a story for me. Sure, they were somewhat interesting, but I couldn’t get invested in their story.
I haven’t read the other books in this series, as they are written by other authors, though I may check them out eventually. I do have the fourth book, also by Katee, that features Will that I’m definitely going to read because the one thing that did intrigue me in this book was Will Reaver.
If you’re looking for something that is a bit BDSM light and has an interesting premise, give this series a try!

No More Mr. Nice Guy…
The moment AJ Walsh sees the sexy, tattooed pixie walk up to his bar, it’s lust at first sight. He’s always been labeled the “nice” guy―opening doors, buying flowers, and never, ever having one-night stands. But with this wicked little angel with red lips and unfathomably dark eyes? Oh, yeah. Tonight, “nice” has nothing to do with it…
Brett Conlon is trying to convince her family that she’s put away her reckless wild girl side for good. Nothing―and no one―could be better for her reputation than golden boy AJ Walsh. So they make a deal: if he plays The Good Boyfriend for her family, he can be a very, very bad boy with her. Now their one naughty night is about to turn into a whole lot of trouble…

One Night of Trouble by Elle Kennedy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
3.5 stars
AJ Walsh is the nice guy… he dates the girl next door, the homecoming queens and the cheerleaders. He buys flowers and opens doors and he certainly doesn’t have one-night stands.
Brett Conlon is the reckless wild girl trying to change her ways. Covered in tattoo’s and a tattoo artist herself, she’s trying to convince her father that she’s ready to run the family business.
AJ and Brett come up with a plan… AJ can explore his sexual wild side with Brett and Brett can show her family she’s got a ‘good boyfriend’ for the few remaining weeks it takes her father to make a decision. What they didn’t plan is anything for the future and now their plan may be taking a turn in a direction neither planned for.
I really liked the characters in this! Both AJ and Brett were interesting and layered. AJ’s story was a bit heartbreaking and you could see how it had affected his life going forward, but at times, it didn’t really make as much sense as I would like. (I mean, if he was really just living to please his parents, how did he get involved in the nightclub business in the first place, based on what we know of him, wouldn’t he have just followed in his father’s steps?) And Brett – I loved that she didn’t apologize for who she was, I loved that she embraced herself and didn’t want to change even for the guy she loved.
I really enjoyed these two together… their chemistry was instantaneous and pretty hot. Elle Kennedy can write some sexy stuff as I know from some of her other books, and this was no exception.
I haven’t yet read the first two books in this series, but I most likely will after reading AJ’s story. I’m interested in learning about the other two couples that I caught glimpses of here.
Overall a great, quick and steamy read. Definitely give it a go!
