Head Over Heels by Jill Shalvis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I think I have to go back and rate all of these books as 5 star-ers LOL
Over the last month or so I’ve become a die hard fan of Jill Shalvis and I have my BFF to thank for that. I’ve never really “loved” contemporary romance, usually finding stuff to be cheesy but Jill Shalvis is a genius and if I ever met her in person I would be hugging her.
Head Over Heels is a companion book in the Lucky Harbor Series, where we met the sisters in the first book. Book one focusing on Maddie, book two on Tara and finally in book three here, we get to know more about Chloe. I truly think the stories have gotten better and better as it goes. Now, that’s not to say I didn’t like the first… I LOVED the first, but I’m getting more in each book as we go. More depth to the stories and characters and I love it.
Chloe is the wild child of the sisters. Never setting up roots, never really having a home base, and never tying herself down. I loved the changes we see in her from book one up to this book. She’s more serious about her life, and making something of it. It doesn’t hurt that the gorgeous, straight-laced sheriff seems to have a thing for her too.
These two can’t seem to stay away from each other and lucky for us! their chemistry is perfect and I swooned so damn hard when I read that one part.. He researched asthma to make sure they were safe and to make sure she could *ahem* get hers.
Turns out the lovely and rules abiding Sheriff wasn’t always so well-behaved though and he and Chloe are more perfect for each other than either could have guessed.
Shalvis hits another one out of the park with this book and the series as a whole is among my all-time favorites now for a reason! Go check out the boys of Lucky Harbor, you won’t be disappointed!!
