Her Best Worst Mistake by Sarah Mayberry
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really enjoyed this book – it was a quick read! For such a short read I was surprised at the depth to the characters and how much I enjoyed them!
Opposites really do attract right? Violet and Martin are like oil and water and the bad news is he’s marrying her best friend so she’s going to be stuck with him!
or so she thought – Her best friend ends up running off just a few weeks before the wedding crushing Martin in the end and Violet doesn’t understand why she cares so much whether he’s hurting or not.
They fight the all consuming attraction they find that they have for each other… or at least they try. Violet struggles with the idea that she is falling for her best friend’s ex who she’s supposed to hate whereas Martin is much more accepting.
Mayberry avoided the cliches and predictable plots quite well and I thought the sexy stuff was definitely sexy!
“She tasted so good. Like sin. Like every dirty thought he’d ever had.”
“He wanted her to beg for him. He wanted her to pant and ache.”
“I was going to thank you,” he said. “then I was going to tell you how fucking sexy you are.”
“She saw the strong cords in his neck and the fullness of his bottom lip. She saw the breadth of his shoulders and the gym honed hardness of his thighs…”

Definitely check it out for a quick, satisfying read!
