This series is one of my favorites because Jessica Spotswood has written some wonderful characters and a fantastic story that includes magic, a swoony, swoony boy, and an interesting relationship between sisters.  If you haven’t read this series yet, definitely check it out.  It’s complete so you could really read all three!
