Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish
We have been incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to meet a lot of our favorite authors… my signed bookshelf is a testament to that, but there are still some authors that we love and adore that we still haven’t had the opportunity to stalk meet and flail over in person.
Here are the top ten authors on our bucket list of authors we want to meet!Â
The day that I meet Kasie West in person, will be epic.  I’m sorry there is no other word for it.  Since reading Pivot Point over a year ago, I have fallen in love with story after story… She’s my go-to author and I can’t wait for all the amazing stories she has in store for us! Â
If we had Spirit Animals, I feel like Katja Millay would be mine. Â I’ve had the opportunity to get to know her a bit and I’m not sure I adore anyone more than her. Â Not only is she amazingly talented as a writer, but she’s hilarious and I would love to sit with a bottle of wine and talk books someday. Â
Colleen Hoover has long been a favorite author of ours here at Fic Fare. Â Unfortunately she never seems to make it to the midwest for some reason. Â We’re hoping that changes in the near future because while we have signed books from her, we would love to have her sign something in person!Â
We adore Jandy Nelson – There is a reason that The Sky Is Everywhere was our very first readalong book and that I own several different versions of it. Â I would love the opportunity to gush about my love for her writing in person. Â I’m so excited for her upcoming book I can’t believe I have to wait. Â
We Love Kristen Simmons. Her Article 5 series is among my all-time favorites. I feel like I should make a banner and carry it everywhere with me so everyone knows how awesome she is. Â We’ve had the opportunity to talk with her in the past but I’m dying to meet her in person and give her a hug!Â
I adore Laini Taylor’s writing and I would love the opportunity to get the chance to meet her in person! I am hoping with the upcoming release of Dreams of Gods & Monsters we might get lucky and hopefully she’ll be on tour at a bookstore near us!Â
You guys… Leighann Kopans is so talented and wonderful and over the last year or so working with her and reading her books has made us really want to meet her in person! Maybe I’ll make it to her neighborhood in the near future and will have the opportunity to get my books signed and maybe get a quick hug! Â
YOU GUYS!!! I HAVE NOT MET MARIE LU!! The last time she was near(ish) us, I had something else planned and couldn’t make it. Â I was so incredibly sad because I absolutely love the Legend series… like enough to say that it is one of my all-time favorite series around. Â I am hoping to get the opportunity… like maybe she’ll be at BEA or something because that would be perfect. Â
Okay… so I just read The Kiss of Deception… then I read The Adoration of Jenna Fox… and I have to say that I am in love with her storytelling. Â (And OMG you guys, you must put The Kiss of Deception on your to read list if you haven’t!!) Â I don’t know if she’s going to be going on tour for TKoD but I’m hoping that she will and that she makes it out to the midwest, or else I’ll be booking a trip to California in the near future!Â
The Burning Sky was one of our favorite books this past year and we would love to get the opportunity to meet Sherry in person soon. Â Even though we have signed copies of TBS, I’d buy another one just to get to meet her! Â Plus, with the upcoming The Perilous Sea (seriously September is too far away) maybe she’ll be doing another tour… come to the midwest please!!Â
So… what is on your bookish bucket list? Â Are you like us and have a bucket list of authors you’d like to meet or are there certain books you’d like to read? Tell us anything on your bookish bucket list in the comments!Â
