Top Ten Beach Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish

This week the topic is Top Ten Beach Reads – however YOU define it! Our list below are those books that we just want to camp out in the sun & sand and read front to back….in one sitting. Something light enough that you don’t have to concentrate too hard and entertaining enough to keep us turning pages! This is why we have them on the list.

Along for the Ride was the first Sarah Dessen book I ever read and I fell in love with the characters! Along for the Ride broaches some serious topics in the way only Sarah Dessen can… it’s not all angst and sadness and that’s what makes this the perfect beach read… a swoony boy named Eli and two people who connect while working through some issues… definitely a must read!

Anna and the French Kiss should be on every beach read list. Paris… Swoons… Etienne… a thousand times yes!! You want the perfect beach read, then here it is. YA contemporary romance at it’s finest and a fun, sweet read!

Golden is new to my list… I just recently finished it and I think everyone should read this one! Kids on the cusp of graduation and deciding their futures and a bit of a mystery to go with it… Definitely an excellent beach read!

You guys… Jill Shalvis should be on every single beach read list. The boys of Lucky Harbor are to die for! Sexy, swoony men. Read them. That is all.

First, the cover…come on. Second, Nev – who doesn’t love a sexy guy with a British accent. On top of all of that, Ruthie Knox writes a story that brings these characters to life and gets you invested in what happens. It is a hot romance that will have you wanting to read more of her books…which would also be great beach reads.

YOU GUYS BUY THIS BOOK WHEN IT COMES OUT. It comes out July 2nd … just in time for you to take it to the beach and read it. I adore the characters of this book and it is the perfect sweet contemporary read.

What would be a better book for the beach than one that is about a plane crash that strands the two main characters on an uninhabited island? With that in mind, this is about more than just surviving. It is about strength and love and bonds that form between people regardless of age.

Sam Cruz’s Infallible Guide to Getting Girls is one of those books that is just fun to read. Darling gives Sam a great voice and the dialogue is a perfect fit. Friends to more is always one of our favorites and this book is an entertaining, fun, laugh-out-loud story that we think you will enjoy!

Another graduation book… Only this one starts as an inadvertent road trip from hell and turns into something incredible and life changing. It’s funny and filled with adventure and that makes it a perfect beach read!

The Boyfriend App is a sweet contemporary read that gives you fun characters and a entertaining plot. What more can you ask of a beach read? If you love your lead characters a tiny bit nerdy and a whole lot of spunky and a story with the perfect mix of fun and romance definitely make sure this one is in your beach bag!

This one goes on the list because … because. This book will always be appropriate to read anytime and anywhere… The boy next door is what makes this the absolute perfect summer read in my opinion. There are sweet moments… and kissing… and a lovely boy… and kissing. Please see any post where I mention Jase.
