Resolutions…. *SIGH* There are a lot of things I should resolve to do in 2014 I guess this is where I put it down for all time and see if I can stick to it! Â I’m not sure I’ll have ten but here goes:
The first resolution is one I had planned on getting better at in 2013, but failed miserably at… commenting on other blogs. I read a lot of blogs, mostly via email on my phone, which makes it harder for me to go back to the actual posts and comment. Â I need to change this because I love interacting with other people who love reading as much as I do. Â Plus, I can’t expect people to come read my posts and comment if I’m not doing the same.Â
Second resolution is probably on a lot of lists – get back into the exercise groove. I was doing really well for a really long time, but then I got sick… and I was sick for about 6-7 weeks, which completely threw me off. Â My goal for 2014 is to get back on the treadmill at least 5 days a week. Â
Third resolution is when my child says “I want to snuggle” I will drop whatever I’m doing to do it. Â He’s getting bigger and older and I don’t know how much more of that snuggle time I will get to look forward to, and I don’t want to regret the times I told him to just wait a minute while I finish this blog post and then we can snuggle later on.
Fourth resolution for me is to step outside my comfort zone. Â I’m what I would consider an in-betweener. Â I’m not horribly outgoing, but I’m not a recluse either. Â I like meeting new people but not A LOT of new people at once. Over the last couple of years of blogging, I’ve talked virtually to many people and this year, I’m hoping to not only reach out to more, but to possibly meet them.Â
Fifth resolution is to make sure I request the ARCs that I am positive I am going to read. Â I used to be all “Ohhhhh pretty books” and I still am, but I also feel this big sense of obligation to read the books that I’ve requested, which also means that some other books get pushed further and further down my to be read list. Â
Which makes my sixth resolution read at least 2 books a month that aren’t advance copies or for a tour. Â You all know I’m a book hoarder I have shelves and shelves and lots of them are books that I haven’t even read yet. Â It’s my goal to read at least two a month that have been on my to be read list for a bit.Â
I think that’s good don’t you? LOL What kind of resolutions have you made for this year? Share them in the comments! I’d love to know!Â
