Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish
 Â
Sometimes there are so many different reasons why we haven’t gotten to a book or series yet … mostly the reason is time… we just don’t have enough of it.  Sometimes, and I know  you all know how this goes, the book is talked about by anyone and everyone and you just don’t know if you’re buying the hype, or maybe you just don’t want to start it and find out that you don’t feel the same way all the other people raving about it do.
Â
The below books are books that have been talked up and raved about but we haven’t quite gotten to them on our to read lists.
Jaime’s list
Just One Day/Just One Year  by Gayle Forman  – I loved Where She Went and If I Stay. I remember grabbing Where She Went on an impulse at Target one day and reading it straight through.  When Just One Day came out, I just remember people either loving or hating it and that scares me because I’m not even sure which camp I’d be in and I don’t know that I want to ever hate a book by Gayle Forman.  I now own both… I’m sure I’ll read them someday.
Any Colleen Hoover Book after Hopeless –  I still remember when I first read Slammed and fell in love with Colleen Hoover’s writing.  This was WAY before all the crazy and hoopla that surrounds Colleen these days.  I don’t know why I haven’t read anything else by her…  I feel like maybe the crazy just scares me a bit. I’m not saying I don’t own all the books after Losing Hope, because I do.  I just don’t know when I might read them.
Jennifer E. Smith Books – I’m not even sure why I’m so fail on these… they sound cute, but Kass made me read the end of one for her once, and I just haven’t had the urge. I hear amazing things about them, but I don’t know…
Code Name Verity – I’ve been told I will cry. Â Me. I. Will. Cry. So I’m totally afraid of what this book will do to me. I don’t cry you guys… I mean I do, but it’s gotta be super duper sad and emotional and I have to be in the mood for a book that’s going to make me cry.
The Deal by Elle Kennedy  –  EVERYONE was talking about these when they came out.  I honestly really enjoy Elle’s writing, I even just finished her Killer Instincts series.  And even my BFF keeps telling me that this is a must read.  I don’t know why I haven’t given this series a chance yet… I’m sure I’ll just be late to the party on it, and I’m totally okay with that.
Erin’s List
Scarlet/Lady Thief/Lion Heart – AC Gaughen
I have every intention of reading this book/series but I don’t know if it is because the final book recently came out or what but I have been putting off diving into this one. Â It sounds like it has everything I like so there is no doubt it will happen, I just don’t know when!
Blood Red Road – Moira Young
I actually started reading this when it first came out but then put it down. Â I know people who absolutely love this series and I might eventually pick it up again but for now, it stays on my TBR pile.
All the Bright Places – Jennifer Niven
This book has been on my monthly TBR list since it came out and I want to read this but I have been warned it will make me cry. Â Don’t get me wrong, I will read this and I want to read it but I try to be careful about reading books that will make me cry in public and since most of my reading happens on planes these days, I don’t want to scare people with ugly crying. Â I mean, if it makes my sister cry there is no doubt I will be too so this one is on the stack until I can lock myself away from the public for a weekend.
Me Before You – Jojo Moyes
Please see my note above around the crying. Â This is another one that I know what the story is about and will probably ugly cry about it. Knowing that people love this story makes me want to dive in but I have fear that I won’t be able to control the tears.
Finnikin of the Rock – Melina Marchetta
I have no excuse around not reading this book other than the fact that I just haven’t.  I have heard about all the great things in this book/series but for some reason it just hasn’t made it to the top of my TBR pile yet.  Someday…just not today.
So what hyped books are on your list? Â Anything that we listed above? Have you read any of these and want to give us that extra nudge to just read the thing already? Let us know in the comments!Â
