Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish
I’m going to mix this up a bit – we’re doing books that we almost put down… but the title doesn’t say whether we’re suppose to be happy about that or not.  SO we’re going to do a list of books that “We almost put down but didn’t and we’re so happy about that…” AND we’re going to do books that “We almost put down but we didn’t and I want to punch myself in the face for not.”Â
Let’s start with the things we’re happy about!!Â
Better When He’s Bad – Jay Crownover – when I started this book, my first reaction was OMG this is not for me… I don’t think I can read it. Â BUT I didn’t stop. I have heard raving about Jay Crownover’s writing and so I kept going, and I am truly happy that I did. I ended up really enjoying this story and who would have thunk it… but I found myself crushing a bit on Bax. Â I ended up giving this 4 stars !Â
The Fifth Favor  –  by Shelby Reed so the synopsis of this book isn’t really my cuppa… but let me tell you something. I want to give Shelby Reed a medal for getting me hooked and falling for these characters.  If you haven’t read this one, I highly recommend it.Â
On The Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta – This book is so damn confusing when you start reading it… but until you hit about the 5o% mark you won’t understand anything you’ve read. Â Once you do hit that point OMG You’re going to fall in love with this story, I promise!
Magic Bites – Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews – This series has become one of my favorites so when I tell people that the first book isn’t as good as the rest of the series it is heartbreaking lol.  But in all seriousness, you have to read the first book, but don’t judge the rest of the series upon it.  I swear it gets so good!Â
Winterveil by Jenna Burtenshaw – This is book three of the Wintercraft series and I was excited to get back into this story. Â While this series was one I enjoyed, this book seemed to fade off into the sunset. I am definitely happy I finished the series as Burtenshaw wrapped this up well, just don’t give up when you get to the middle of this one.
Now this list… well, I’m only going to link you to the reviews on these and you can see why I WISH I had put these books down…Â
