Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish
This week the topic is: Top Ten Most Frustrating Characters
well… this is a toughie… I only say that because my first reaction to this question was to find all the books I disliked over time and accumulate those characters. LOL. It’s not that easy though. I realized I can find characters frustrating and still really like a book! Â Characters make a book for me, so it was definitely a struggle to make this list!Â
1. Kacey Cleary in Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker – What frustrated me most about this character I think was that she just never took the time to grasp the joy she should have felt because she was spared… she spent the entire book yelling woe is me and blah that irritated me. Â
2. Â Every character in The Edge of Never – none of them in a good way.Â
3.  West Grayer  in Dualed by Elsie Chapman – I’m okay with putting this in here. I LOVED this book! West frustrated me because she was such a strong character but there were so many times I felt her just giving up… and I didn’t want that for her!Â
4. Gideon & Eva in Bared to You by Sylvia Day – I know… I know… I shouldn’t even be mentioning this book  but these two characters were what ruined that book for me… mostly.  I mean, they are supposed to be adults and the over done angst and drama for just the sake of having it… MEH. Everytime he bent over backwards for her she was happy then he screwed up then she got pissed and ran away… OVER AND OVER AND OVER.  No thank you.
5.  Hayden in Cursed by Jennifer Armentrout – omg this boy frustrated me to the point that I wasn’t sure whether I liked him or not.  I mean, he was nice and he was sweet, and then he was a jerk, and then he’s a stalker and  the whole time I wanted Ember to just leave.
6. Â Quinn from If I Lie by Corrine Jackson – Now let me clarify I absolutely loved loved loved this book and the story and yes, even the character. BUT she frustrated me. I understand why she did what she did, but I wanted her to scream the truth to the world so they could see that what they were doing was wrong… how they were treating her was wrong.Â
7. Â Daelyn from By The Time You Read This I’ll Be Dead – I was so frustrated with her because she had already given up by the time we met her. I wanted her to fight and see that where she was now, would and could get better.Â
and… that’s all I’ve got this week!!Â
