Happy Friday Everyone!!
So this is something new that the lovely Jenna over at Jenna Does Books has come up with and when she told me about it, I thought it would be something new and fun to try and participate in. While I most likely won’t be able to do every week, I am definitely going to make an effort to try!
SO… what is Truth or Dare? (book blog style… I assume you already know the game! lol)
TRUTH: Usually will require you to answer a question or a prompt that can be completed in text format, such as a “discussion” or “list” post.
DARE: These will require you to “go out of your shell” a bit. You may need to complete a special project, share photos, vlog or complete some equally “daring” task. Let your inner dare devil come alive!
This week, I’m going to choose Truth… mostly because I’m not in a bookstore, but also because… WHAT WOULD I READ!!
First, it would have to be a standalone because I can’t go out without being able to read the full story. I’m not a classics kind of girl, so I definitely wouldn’t head that way…
Okay… I have come up with the three that I would try to choose from. I know… I’m bending the rules, but you can’t ask a book person to pick one book. It’s impossible.
My Life Next Door – Jase Jase Jase. I could happily leave this world having had my final fix of that boy. He’s at the top of my top 5 list for a reason. If you haven’t experienced him yet, you must. But do it before the end of the world so you can have some time to enjoy him.
The Sky is Everywhere – This book is so amazing and beautiful and sad and just… I’d have to experience it just one more time before the end. Going out with a few final ‘bat bat bat’s’ would make everything okay.
The Sea of Tranquility – Josh Bennet…is that enough of a reason? If not, how about the fact that this is one of those books that I can re-read over and over and over. Katja Millay creates a moving story with characters I want to know in real life. I would definitely squeeze this one in if I knew I was on my way out.
Graffiti Moon – Everything takes place over the course of one night and I love the characters (Ed and Lucy). There were so many parts that had me laughing or made me all tingly and every time I think of my favorites, this one is on the list.
Easy -This is another one that I could read over and over because of the lead male character. Lucas draws you in and makes you want to find out what is going to happen next. Plus, he has tattoos and a motorcycle and who wouldn’t love that? I actually just realized I need to read this one again soon as it has been a while since I last picked it up.
