Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish
Honestly, I probably should have skipped this week because if there is one thing that I shouldn’t do, it’s complain about the blogger/book related problems I have. Â So yeah… these aren’t horrible problems to have, just a little fun on a Tuesday morning!Â
Sometimes… okay a lot of times, I just don’t feel like going to hang out. I just want to curl up on my bed with a hot coffee and dive into my book and get lost! Â I oftentimes feel guilty about this, but it’s just something I prefer.
I know it’s bad form to complain, but this hurts even worse when you read a book super early. Â (Wait… is that a problem too? Reading a book way too early?) Actually this “I have to wait” issue is a problem we can all understand and relate to, with all the series books that are out it can truly be painful!Â
This is going to sound horrible, but sometimes I look at the stacks of books that I have and I seriously can not decide what to read. Â Whether it’s an ARC or a finished copy, a hardcopy or an ebook – when you have so many choices it can make it really hard to figure out what to pick up next.
We have a ton of books. Â Occasionally it’s hard to remember just where that one book went… do IÂ have it on one of my many bookshelves, did one of my friends take it? Did I loan it out to a co-worker? Â It can be hard to keep track of where everything is when you have so many and yes… it truly is a problem we struggle with at our house!Â
Again… something that I probably shouldn’t ever say, but I seriously have a problem when I go into a bookstore. I almost can’t help but purchase a book. Â It’s horrible because with approximately 10 bookshelves in our house, I still have no place to put new books. Â I’ve started culling books, but that’s like trying to get rid of your kids or something. Â
I live in the Midwest.  I love to meet authors and go to signings.  It’s so frustrating when the big tours with the authors I’m dying to meet are only making East Coast & West Coast stops. I can’t say that we don’t get any authors here because that’s not true, but part of our problem is that we’re only a couple hours from Chicago, which means it’s almost always a roadtrip to go see someone. I wish I didn’t have to do it that way, and more authors made stops here in Milwaukee, but I suppose I shouldn’t complain because it could be that I don’t get to meet anyone because I’m in the middle of nowhere. Â
yeah… maybe I won’t really say anything about this one. HAHAHA you’ve probably seen my 2000 plus books on my goodreads shelves, but aside from that, I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the amount of books I’ve committed to reading and I always feel an obligation to read them because I have them… I just need to suck it up and do it. Â
After doing this for almost 3 years now… OMG 3 years, yes, I still have ARC envy. There are times I plead for a book and just can’t seem to get my hands on it and it’s something I’ve just got to deal with. Â I mean, I should not complain and I am thankful for everything I do get but every once in a while there is that one book that eludes me. Â
There you have it… some of the book related/blog related problems I face. Â What about you, what book related problems do you experience and try to struggle through? (lol) Let us know in the comments!Â
